It took all day, but WordPress is up and running. It's alive! It's alive!

Day 237 - August 27, 2010

It took me a while, but I finally got Ubuntu installed as a virtual machine, and I'm on my way to installing WordPress so I'm thrilled!

Day 236 - August 26, 2010

Books on my radar...

The Imperfectionists by Tom Rachman

Packing for Mars by Mary Roach

Day 235 - August 25, 2010

This has caused me to start thinking of my wall as a gigantic, blank canvas. I love the simple contrast in tones.

Day 234 - August 24, 2010

I love the backdrop of the forest. The change of seasons offer a change of mood. Being that the building seems to rise from the ground, it feels like a part of the forest while being in direct contrast to it.

Day 233 - August 23, 2010

Some works by Greg Lamarche.

Day 232 - August 22, 2010

Perhaps, it's simply a matter of will.

Day 231 - August 21, 2010

Speaking of barren landscapes...

Day 230 - August 20, 2010

Has the well gone dry, or am I just not looking hard enough?

Thursday, August 19, 2010

Day 229 - August 19, 2010

Ross Lovegrove's new bike design, LDN, for Biomega. I'm a huge fan of his work.

Wednesday, August 18, 2010

Day 228 - August 18, 2010

The winner of the Inception infographic contest.

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

Day 227 - August 17, 2010

A hard drive inspired by cassettes and floppy disk. Ingenious.

Monday, August 16, 2010

Day 226 - August 16, 2010

Some of the results from Fast Company's Inception infographic contest.

Day 225 - August 15, 2010

Which country spends the most on innovation? Suprisingly, not the U.S.

Saturday, August 14, 2010

Day 224 - August 14, 2010

German architecture students' monument to beer. Pretty interesting.

Friday, August 13, 2010

Day 223 - August 13, 2010

Flattened mugs, interesting concept. It would take me some time to get used to drinking out of these cups, but it would definitely save some cupboard space.

Day 222 - August 12, 2010

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

Day 221 - August 11, 2010

Day 220 - August 10, 2010

I love the simplicity of these renderings, and the minimalist elegance of a single tone. It focuses the attention on the design of the building.

Monday, August 9, 2010

Day 219 - August 9, 2010

I love how this building was broken down.

Sunday, August 8, 2010

Day 218 - August 8, 2010

Another book, Everything Explained Through Flowcharts, by humorist Doogie Horner.

Saturday, August 7, 2010

Day 217 - August 7, 2010

Believe it or not, this is a concept for a bike basket. Love it. I would ride my bike more often just to have an excuse to use the bike basket.

Friday, August 6, 2010

Day 216 - August 6, 2010

Read an article on this book in the NY Times Books Update section, and found it fascinating to contemplate all the free time I would have available to me if I stopped watching TV.

I look forward to reading this book soon.
