An artist installation in Detroit that took one of many abandoned homes in the area, and froze it in ice.

Day 73 - March 14, 2010
I've been thinking a lot about love. What is love? How do you define and express love? We all know what it is, we all feel it, we all know what love should be, ideally, but it is difficult to encompass with words. As I was thinking these things over today, I began to think of the movie Addicted to Love with Meg Ryan and Matthew Broderick, and this one scene in which both characters try to define love. It always brings a smile to my face, and it's definitely one way to think about it!

Day 71 - March 12, 2010
The iPad (Apple) vs. the Courier (Microsoft)
The more I contemplate it, the more excited I become over the new options in tablet PCs. Of course, we're all swooning over the possibilities with the iPad. Even if you hate it, the apps make it a worthwhile investment. The two downsides from my point of view are that it doesn't come with a stylus or handwriting recognition, which has been a standard on Palm and Pocket PC technology for years, and the price $500 for the base model- for that I'd rather invest in a full laptop.
Now on the horizon, I hear that Microsoft is coming up with a tablet called the Courier, and it comes with a stylus, and I'm sure it'll be much cheaper that the iPad.
I'm still on the fence.

Day 69 - March 10, 2010
I've been thinking a lot about diet and the need to eat healthier food. Perhaps, this will motivate me.

Engineering By Design
An article I came across today which describes the use of improv as a way of collaborating and brainstorming ideas. Interesting.

Day 67 - March 8, 2010
I came across this book a couple of years ago. I took the Kolbe Index A included in the book, but never got the results because they were $50. Instead of measuring personality or ability, it measures what motivates you or drives you towards action. I thought about this book as I was falling asleep last night, and thought I would jot it down here to remind myself that maybe it's worth the money.

Day 63 - March 4, 2010
Paris has been on my mind lately. I spent a month there five years ago, and I fell in love with it. I would love to revisit someday, but who knows what the future brings? I definitely want to return to Europe someday, but I'm leaning towards Spain, Italy, Greece or England.

Day 61 - March 2, 2010
I've been thinking about vision and sight. From our perspective, things can look disheartening at times and we fail to see a purpose or a meaning behind it all, but from a different perspective, things would look much different. What seems like utter despair and misfortune today, could be a blessing in disguise. I tend to be short-sighted at times, especially when things don't seem to be going my way, but in the end, things may not be as they appear. In the hope of things to come, I try to keep in mind to look at things from a different perspective. This brought to mind the Powers of Ten video by Charles and Rae Eames as a literal demonstration of the power of perspective.

Day 60 - March 1, 2010
An acoustic version of Help, I'm Alive by Metric. Excellent song, even better as an acoustic version.
